The Art of Tea and Poetry

The Art of Tea and Poetry

Commitment

I gave it all to you,
My life - my sanity.
Days of gray now shade blue.

I feared calamity,
Ignored in selfish hour.
Time parades vanity.

That alluring flower
With carnal affliction,
Portends potent power.

Succubus addiction
For silky skin engorged,
Now fractures restriction.

Bond with kin left unforged.
Clan cracked by toxic steam,
Now rives from gangrene gorge.

Gaps grown in frozen spleen.
Cold stones flown from above,
Damning stream thought obscene.

Season gave gentle shove.
Friends transformed into ice,
Chilling hand with no glove.

Glacial life must suffice,
The loneliness of love.
A life of sacrifice.
